The Scott Pilates method is an exercise system focused on improving flexibility and strength for the total body while also enhancing posture, balance, and coordination. It is particularly effective in developing core strength (the core is your trunk, from shoulders to the pelvis). It can simultaneously stretch, strengthen, tone and align the body, while eliminating excess tension and strain on the joints. Pilates helps to develop the body uniformly, corrects bad posture, lengthens and stretches the musculature, restores and increases physical vitality, stimulates the mind and elevates the spirit. These exercises are done on the floor with a mat.
