Testimonials

Zoe — La Jolla, CA
"Since experiencing STOTT PILATES, my entire way of viewing my own body has shifted. I have discovered the body confidence and awareness that I was never able to access from childhood. For me STOTT PILATES is a physical expression that enables me to move with much more awareness, grace, confidence and poise without having a dance background. I feel young, energized and childlike after each session."

David — York, PEI
"I have lost over 50 lbs by using STOTT PILATES and regular cycling. I have gone from a 38 pant size down to a 33-34 inch pant size. I now wear more form-fitting clothing with confidence, and for a man my age, feel very good about how my body looks and how straight my posture is."

STOTT PILATES Trains Singing Icon Sting

The Police was one of the most influential and successful bands of the early 80s. Lead vocalist and bassist, Sting, has gone on to enjoy an incredible career as a solo performer. To make sure he stays in shape for his demanding touring schedule, Sting relies on Pilates. In recent months, Sting trained with Carol Salt, a STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor at Re-Balance Studio in Amsterdam. Sting enjoyed it so much, he asked Carol to come back to train both him and his manager. He also trained with Jill Winegar at her studio, The SweatShop, while in Minnesota. Sting says he'll continue to train with STOTT PILATES – and we'll make sure to be there with every breath he takes.

What Pro Athletes Use to Stay in Shape

Even if you're not a basketball fan, you've probably heard of Kobe Bryant. The Los Angeles Lakers guard is one of the NBA's all-time greats, and to make sure he stays in this elite class, he includes Pilates in his rigorous training regimen. Since Kobe demands the best, his representatives recently contacted STOTT PILATES to ask about our Reformers. We were delighted to hear from the All-Star, and were quick to supply him with a new V2 Max Plus™ Reformer.

Kobe isn't the only pro athlete to discover the positive impact that Pilates can have on athletic performance. NBA All-Star guard Jason Kidd, World Series Champion Curt Schilling, and even Tiger Woods, all rely on Pilates to help ensure they stay in peak condition year round.

What are the benefits of  Pilates

Pilates dramatically transforms the way your body looks, feels and performs. It builds strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen.

It teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. Pilates improves flexibility, agility and economy of motion. It can even help alleviate back pain.

Professional dancers have known the benefits of Pilates for decades. Top athletes use it for strength, flexibility, and injury prevention. Hollywood celebrities and supermodels use it to maintain beautiful physiques.

A miracle? Not really. Developed from the rehabilitation techniques of Joseph Pilates, Pilates is a safe, sensible exercise system using a floor mat or equipment, that will help you look and feel your very best. No matter what your age or condition, it will work for you.
